The injectable material used for this treatment is produced from the deoxycholic acid family. The acids present in its composition cause the destruction of fat cells. Plastic surgeons use it mainly to improve body contours.

The injectable material can be applied to many parts of the body (back, hips, knees, stomach, thighs).
It is also done on the face (chin) for targeted lipolysis.
It is also known as Motolese’s Solution (after the name of the professor who invented it).
It is also used in some cases to treat pseudo-gynecomastia in men (development of additional fatty tissue in the chest area, which gives the appearance of female breasts).
The indication is healthy individuals, men and women, from 18 to 60 years old. The injectable material is recommended for individuals with good skin elasticity. Otherwise, skin sagging could occur after the injections.
When injected into the body, the injectable material can reduce the appearance of fat in areas where it is accumulated, to give a smoother, more contoured appearance.
