Correction of anisomastia
Anisomastia is the condition in which the two breasts are not identical, and may differ from slightly to greatly in volume and size. The surgery to correct anisomastia is almost always combined with breast reduction or augmentation.
Trivia
No two breasts are ever identical, however, in most people the differences are subtle.
Correction of asymmetry can include various techniques such as placing an implant in one breast and lifting the other, or a combination of reduction and lifting.
Recovery takes about 2 weeks.
Candidates for the surgery are women who have a large difference between their two breasts, and want to obtain a symmetrical and harmonious breast.
It lasts from 2 to 3 hours (depending on whether it is augmentation or reduction), and is performed under general anesthesia.
After recovering from the surgery, the patient wears a special sports bra to support the breast and is usually discharged from the hospital the same or the next day.

A special adhesive is placed on the incision site, which remains in place and is removed after 7 days. The patient must refrain from certain activities (e.g., lifting weights and doing intense exercise) for 4 weeks.
After the surgery, specific instructions are given by Dr. Manoloudakis on how to care for the area with a special moisturizing cream. Although the result is visible from the first days, the breast reaches its final proportions in approximately 4-6 months after the surgery.
